This web site has been created to introduce you to our practice, to answer
questions you may have about orthodontics (braces and other methods to
straighten teeth and create a beautiful, healthy smile), and to provide
patients with tips and information on how to survive orthodontic treatment.
Our goal is to help
you have the most beautiful smile and healthiest bite relationship possible.
We hope to make your overall experience with orthodontic treatment a positive
one.
We want you to understand
everything that takes place every step along your way to a great smile.

About Dr. Baird
 |
Dr. Baird
was raised 60 miles north of the Salt Lake Valley in Brigham City. He
first became interested in orthodontics when he had braces as a senior
in high school. He attended Utah State University in Logan. He earned
his DDS degree at the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond, Virginia,
graduating Magna Cum Laude.
He continued his
education at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Lincoln, Nebraska,
earning his certificate of specialty in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics
and an MS degree in oral biology. The research for his master’s thesis
has been published in The American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial
Orthopedics.
Dr. Baird
and his wife have one beautiful little girl.

About our staff Click

Chris
is our treatment / financial coordinator. She is happy to answer any questions
you may have about your treatment or financial arrangements. She will
work with your insurance company to ensure that you receive your maximum
benefit. She has 7 years experience working in an orthodontic office.
Chris is also trained as a chairside assistant.
Janet is our
outreach coordinator. She arranges all the contests and works with our
referring dentists. She also schedules visits to grade school classes
in which Dr. Baird instructs the students on good oral hygiene.
Rachel is
our main chairside assistant. She will work with you during record taking
and treatment visits. She is also in charge of keeping our instruments
clean and sterile to ensure a healthy environment.
Alisha is
our scheduling coordinator. She will work to make your appointments as
convenient as possible. Alisha has 7 years experience working in dental
and orthodontic offices. She is also trained as a chairside assistant.

Our locations Click

We have two locations to
serve you. Our West Jordan office is located at the Redwood Medical Plaza behind
the Golden Corral restaurant at 8822 South Redwood Road.
Our Taylorsville office
is located just south of the Kearns post office at 5547 South 4015 West.
Scheduling
 |
In order to provide
you with the best possible treatment we schedule certain types of appointments
at certain times.
We try to fit as
many appointments in outside school hours as we can, so the shorter adjustment
appointments are scheduled in the late afternoon.
Records, bonding,
and other longer appointments are scheduled earlier in the day to ensure
we have enough time to perform these procedures properly. If we can spend
the needed time, the procedures will be more accurate and will help us
complete orthodontic treatment sooner.
We appreciate your
busy schedule and will do our best to keep our appointments within their
allotted time.

Contests
We have an ongoing rewards
program for accomplishing certain tasks. You will be given tokens for brushing,
wearing elastics, visiting your dentist, and referring your friends to our office.
These tokens can be exchanged for prizes- notebooks, pens, games, etc. You will
see these displayed in the offices.
Throughout the year we
will have various other contests. The prizes for these contests are usually
gift cards worth big bucks.
During the holiday season
we generally have some type of service project such as a food drive or toy drive.
Details will be posted in the offices.
